I got vaccinated early on. At that time, getting the shot was about me - I didn't want to get sick or worse. But as time has gone on I came to realize that the real reason to get the shot is about everyone but me. It's about loving your neighbor and stopping the virus from spreading and getting someone else sick.
And now I have another reason. I got Covid anyway. Runny nose, congestion, coughing, fever. For three weeks, I have felt weak and had limited energy. It was not fun but I am glad I had the vaccination to minimize the effects. I'm back to writing now, still a little weak and congested, but improving. Don't let the virus get you or someone you love. Get the shot.
